A home spa is an easy way to relax and feel good without spending too much money. The following are a few fun home spa ideas:
First and foremost, make your home feel like a spa by setting the mood and atmosphere. You will want to start by getting rid of all the distractions. This means put the pets outside, and send the kids to a neighbor or grandparent’s house. It means turning off the phone ringers, and getting yourself into the home spa mode.
Next, add to the atmosphere by lighting a few candles, and turning on some soft music. You will want to turn the lights down some time, and scent the room with a relaxing scent, like lavender. You will also want to provide yourself with a few other things to help you get in the spa mood. For example, you will want to get yourself a nice cozy robe, or a big fluffy towel.
Recreate a spa atmosphere.
Now you want to start the treatments for your home spa. You decide what treatments you want to use. Start out with a nice relaxing foot pedicure. To do this, you will want to run a warm tub to soak your feet in. Run the tub, and add a few drops of essential oils to the tub to help soak into your skin and soften it. When your feet are adequately soaked, you will want to take a scrubber of sorts to get rid of any dead skin from your feet. Scrub it off, then soak it a bit longer. Once soaked properly, you will want to take a towel and dry it off completely. Once dry, rub a moisturizing lotion into the feet. Use a cuticle remover to remove any dead cuticle, and dry once again. After it is dry, use an emery board to shape your nails, and then polish them with whatever polish you choose.
Another great spa idea is to make it a couple’s spa day. Get massage oils, and terry cloth robes. Then, heat some oil up, and take turns giving one another massages. You can even make it a hot stone massage by heating stones in a crock-pot, and using them to give a hot stone massage. When giving massages, it is good to use lotion or hot oil.
Other home spa ideas include facials. You will need clean cloths, a mud mask, a mild cleanser, a moisturizer, a toner, and steam. You will want to start by steaming your face, and then use a mud mask, followed by a mild cleanser to clean it. You will then want to use a toner to remove any excess. Then use a moisturizer.
Consider giving yourself a hair treatment. You can use hot oils, and follow the directions, and get yourself a nice gossip magazine to read while your hair processes. There are any number of home spa treatments you can do, just decide which one you want most, and find a way to make it possible at your house. Atmosphere is the most important factor.

I know my perfect spa day at home always ends with a dip in the hot tub! Hot tubs are perfect hydrotherapy tools and not only help to rub pain away with soothing jets but also can help with stress induced insomnia. A great way to get relief!
